Jon Squirrell

Founder Jon Squirrell opened The Vault Gym in October 2010.

Jon has been involved in competitive sport since an early age, with his main focus being athletics. It was Jon's sporting interests and national achievements on the track as a 400m hurdler which led him to study exercise at an academic level. Jon now combines his practical knowledge with his education when working with clients.

His belief is that it does not matter who you are – an Olympic athlete or simply someone who is new to exercise – the training principles are still the same. It comes down to application and hard work.

After graduating with an Exercise Science degree in 1997, Jon began working as a personal trainer in London and was involved with most of the industry’s leading companies for many years before setting up his own training company in 2003. Some of his client testimonials can be seen here .

Says Jon: “Opening The Vault Gym was always been an ambition of mine, and over the last few years I have noticed that the industry has moved away from client care and more towards membership numbers. There are so many talented fitness professionals out there and I knew it would be amazing to get them all under one roof. I really wanted to open a gym that allowed these individuals to do what they do best. I wanted to create a team of fitness professionals who are at the top of their field, who are ambitious, talented and above all care about one thing, their clients!

I also believe a client’s training experience should be both enjoyable and rewarding and a client should look forward to their time in the gym and not find it a chore. Part of the whole gym experience is the environment you are in and at the Vault Gym we pride ourselves on creating not only a stylish, comfortable environment but also one that is friendly and welcoming.
